Nancy Ortiz is a Queer Femme Xicanx Bilingual & Bicultural First-Generation, proud child of Mexican immigrant parents. She was born and raised in Orange County, CA and continues to reside in OC. Nancy enjoys spending quality time with loved ones, swimming, practicing kundalini yoga, cooking, being out in nature, and creating community.

Nancy obtained a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan (December 2012) and Bachelor’s of Science degree in Human Services from California State University Fullerton (January 2011). She is licensed to practice Clinical Social Work in the State of California (LCSW #80318).

Nancy is currently completing requirements towards Sex Therapy certification from the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists. Nancy receives Sex Therapy clinical supervision from Dr. Yamonte Cooper and Jacqueline Mendez, CST, LMFT and received curriculum training from Sexual Health Alliance.

Nancy believes in continual learning and attends regular advanced trainings in somatic trauma modalities, couples therapy, and sex therapy. Nancy has completed level 1 trainings and/or equivalencies in Trauma Focused CBT, Trauma Resiliency Model, EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy- Couples, and Sex Therapy. Nancy is also a client of therapy and has received many of the same treatments that she provides to her clients.
